Ms ANG Poh Nee, Christine
Research Assistant

Christine's job scope involves processing biological samples from internal and external researchers through SCELSE's different next generation sequencing platforms such as Illumina Mi-seq, llumina Hi-seq 2500, HiseqX, Oxford Nanopore (MinION) and Pacific BioScience(RS II). She is involved in sampling the air around the campus, and extracting DNA and RNA for air microbiome metagenomics research, as well as optimising and troubleshooting library preparation and sequencing protocols to meet targeted result. She works closely with engineers to troubleshoot and program library preparation protocols on automation liquid handling system, and organises/maintains records of sample information from different researchers with the laboratory tracking system.
